Red Rice Yeast – an old asian herb that has positive evidence to lower cholesterol. It contains several compounds collectively known as monacolins, substances known to inhibit cholesterol synthesis.

Since it mimics a prescription statin drug called Mevacor, it is recommended that the treatment with Red rice Yeast be suggested by a medical provider after they review the entire medical history and current prescription medicine use.
